2010 Camaro on Display Locally??
I e-mailed a couple of local dealers today asking about MSRP markup. One said "maybe" the other didn't answer at all, but did say "in a couple of weeks we'll have a 2010 Camaro in our showroom for you to look at."
Is this possible? Searching Edmunds this dealer was the ONLY one in my area with a good rating.

I've asked several here in Knoxville about msrp markup, and most of the responses have been vague to say the least. None have said they'd have one in the showroom.
Especially before Indy, I'd say

Yeah seemed odd to me as well, but I went and checked their site and it's advertised on there as well. Interesting.
http://www.carlblackchevy.com/ On a related note, I'm surprised at how terrible the dealer ratings for Chevy dealers are around here. Scary. The infamous Bill Heard Chevy was in the area as well. After a local news team did an undercover story on their poor business practices and several people setting up lawn chairs on the sidewalk in front of their dealership with signs saying "I was ripped off" they went out of business. One guy even had "Bill Heard Chevrolet screwed me, ask me how" decals on his car. I actually saw the guy driving around.

So weird; I can't IMAGINE they'd get one before Indy but they do have it on their site which makes it seem credible...

The only way I can think of that would make this possible in anyway, is if they will be showing one of the concept vehicles... I HIGHLY doubt it will be one of the production cars.

He may have said "a couple weeks" to peak your interest when it will really be about 8 weeks.

I agree that IF they actually have one before Sept. it will be 1 of the concepts that has been on tour or a pre-prod version they let them use for a few days.

We'll see. You guys are probably right, but I e-mailed him back to confirm and this is what he said:
"I'm not sure about the specs on the car GM is sending us. My guess is that it will probably be the LT RS, but I don't know for sure. I can't wait to see it though!"

Notice how he didn't say any timeline. Sure, they could be getting the LT RS, but not for a few months later....and after Indy.
Tell him to keep you informed as to when it will be at the dealer. Let's see when and what he says. |
