Small groove in CCB rotor
Hi All -
I've developed a small groove in my front left rotor. Am soon taking it in to have it checked out, but wonder if anyone else has seen anything like this? Pads appear to be in good shape. It could something lodged between pad and rotor, but that's hard to fathom. Appreciate your insights. -John

I’d say if you can’t feel it with your finger nail you should be good to go.

Thanks. It's very shallow and I can barely feel with my finger nail. Really odd. No clue what's causing it.

line on rotor
Quote:
I would say there was a small stone pebble, for a short time between your rotor & pad,it only lasted a few rotations then was pulverized and ended up as dust,It doesn't look serious,Rotor certainly can be turned,I'd do both rotors to keep the braking balanced. Happy cruising ! |

You can't turn slotted and/or drilled rotors regardless of what they're made of.
