Exclamation Camaro Heritage Grill now available for order. Arriving @ dealers in next two weeks.

My salesperson was not familiar with this grille, but we went to parts (I had their P/N: 92208704) & they told me the Camaro parts they have called on recently were unavailable. After asking nicely again, they called, went through 2 diff dept.'s & found it is available. List MSRP is $305, but I talked them down to $259. Decent deal or no?

Update: official release date for the heritage grills is January 14, 2010. Should be arriving at dealerships beginning next week.

GM PART #: 92208704 ("Grille, Upper Insert")

MSRP:
$305

Description:
Go for the ultimate in customization with this sporty Upper Grille Insert Assembly. Designed for perfect fit and easy installation, it replaces the existing grille on your Camaro. (Bowtie logo not included.)

GM Parts Direct still shows it as "this part not yet available".

Sweet-Thanks Mick! Do you know if they are black by default, or are they that gray-ish color like the GFX?

My dealer also said not yet available, but when we went back to the parts dept ( I had to give them the P/N), they found it to be available

I know some others wont care, but I'm dissapointed that there is no landing for the bowtie or the badge.

I really like the look of this grille, but I also want my dang emblems up there!

I love this grille! I will check with my parts guy and see if they also say its available. I think it looks better without the emblems. Looks cleaner without them. I know I know... some will say "What, you arent proud of it being a chevy?"... Yes, I am but if you cant tell its a Chevy Camaro from just looking at it then you probably dont tknow the diffrence anyway...

Blast, I agree. I asked my dealer not to install the bow tie or the front license plate when the car comes in

Okay, I don't get it. The grille above clearly shows the Chevy bowtie is on it.

Does the bottom grille in the bumper stay the same, or a matching heritage grille for that area is also available?

I honestly would only buy this if it has the Chevy bowtie on the OUTSIDE. Inside.....nah. Wouldnt look too good. But this is just my opinion.

Huh?

Why would it be on the inside? I don't see anywhere about it being on the inside. The pics show the bowtime on the outside.
