How To Remove Stock Spoiler And Install Sawtooth?
Hey everyone, I am going to buy the Sawtooth spoiler for my Camaro. I was just wondering, how do I remove the stock spoiler, and how do I install the Sawtooth? Any installation guides or write-ups would be helpful.
Thanks |

I don't know about the sawtooth but to remove your factory spoiler, there are six nuts. You can see the four plastic caps for the two left and two right nuts. for the other two, you have to remove some of your plastic discs to look under the trunk lid felt where you will find the other two. Be careful because you can lose these down inside the trunk lid. The spoiler may be hard to pull off due to the studs binding against the holes and there is also an alignment pin. Just work it loose carefully.

Hope you bought the ORIGINAL that mounts with the factory holes. The CHEAP eBay knockoff is shorter then the stock and shows the holes when mounted.... I know I have BOTH!

Ok so I am removing my spoiler to install the NLP aftermarket dovetail...while I was removing the 6th and final bolt my socket came off and fell inside the trunk lid panels. My only idea so far is to back my car on my steep driveway incline and see if it will roll to the end where I can grab it thru the bolt access holes. Any other ideas?

I have seen long flexible handles (16" or so) with a magnet on the end. Check some auto parts stores. Last resort would be to remove trunk lid.

I got the cheap one from ebay ($116 shipped). Doesn't line up exactly w/existing holes but it's close enough you wouldn't notice if I didn't point it out. Didn't drill extra holes for the 2 middle posts (in case I want to change back. Filled in unused holes w/silicone so they wouldn't leak.
