Camaro-of-the-week as featured on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

In honor of Memorial Day, this week's Camaro-of-the-Week is is the 2010 Military Tribute Camaro displayed at the just concluded 2010 Indianapolis 500 race, brought us by GM Military Discount.

As a way to honor the Men and Women of America's Armed Forces, the General Motors Military Discount acquired the skills of world-renowned artist Mickey Harris, a professional airbrusher of 33 years, to create the 2010 Military Tribute Camaro.

The Military Tribute Camaro represents all five branches of the Armed Forces on separate sections of the car. The front driver side represents the Army, the rear driver side represents the Navy, the front passenger side represents the Marine Corps, the rear passenger side represents the Air Force, and the trunk section represents the Coast Guard. The Military Tribute Camaro also incorporates some of the military's highest individual awards and current campaign medals - the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, and Afghanistan Campaign Medal on the driver side; the Navy Cross, Bronze Star, and Iraqi Campaign Medal on the passenger side.

I would like to tell you to enjoy this holiday and remember those that we have lost and will not be able to enjoy this day. We do this in honor of YOU!!!

Friends that come to mind:
1. SFC Kelley Bolor--- I will never be able to hear Hawaiian music without thinking of you my friend and that tragic day.
2. SPC James Banks-- I joined the Army with my best friend only to lose him. I miss you brother!
3. CPT John Teal--- Funniest Platoon Leader I ever had.
4. SGT Heathe Graig--- No medic finer than one who gave the ultimate sacrifice for those under his care.
5. SGT Steven Mennemeyer--- Great Medic.... I'll check on Ginny as much as I can, she's gone through a lot with you gone.

I search the skies for your faces.
Like it's been said "I'll see you on the green one day my friends!"
To the families..."Hug 'em every chance you get!!!"
For those of you still with us......"Give 'em HELL!!!"

Simply amazing, and a wonderful tribute to our armed forces. This car, this one car has taken on so many different looks; i'll be damned if it isn't the greatest of all-time. Thank you GM for bringing back the Camaro. Not only is it a great car, it's a canvas of which many wonderful expressions are just waiting to reveal themselves.

I wrote it before when I first seen that ultimate TRIBUTE CAR above, very well done, a lot attention to detail, just PERFECT!!!

A lot of time and effort went into it, a artist a true American Patriot......

I got to see this beauty up close at the indy track on owners appreciation night and it was such a pleasure to see. To all vets and active duty have a very good memorial day and stay safe.
