Nw XM Radio offer

New offer it should read, darn dirty key board.

I just got a call from XM. They said this is a special promo for Camaro owners.
$4.99 a months for 6 Months.
Plus .97 cent royalty fee to the music industry.
2 payments of $20.02 includes tax.

They understand some only use the car in the summer and on weekends. I have really never had the time to mess with it but I bit the bullet and took the offer.
It also includes internet access in you home on some of the channels. In our house the computer powers our outside tunes so I figured I'll give it a shot.

if the Camaro had Sirius i'd buy it in a heartbeat. I have a Sirius car kit in my work truck and listen to Howard Stern and Jason Ellis all day. I dont want to pay extra for the Best Of Sirius package.......

if you dont listen to Stern or Ellis, then XM and Sirius are very comparable in the music department. Id even say that XM has better sports (NHL/MLB)

they are a combined company. but you dont get all the same channels on XM that you do on Sirius and vice versa. You can get the best of the other company, but you have to pay extra....

it all doesnt matter, if Stern retires after this year, its all going down the tubes anyway, he is the main reason that satellite radio got on the map. brought over 30 millions subscribers, he pretty much caused the merger because XM couldnt compete

Just called them, they offered for Camaro owners, $2.99 / month for 6 months plus royalty fees of .99 / month. Well I took the bait. The only thing I hope is that when I move to Ottawa next week, I get better reception than here in Halifax. Don't get me wrong, the signal is good but sometimes not as clear as other times.

Cheers!

Don't be fooled over the whole "lifetime" thing. It's not your lifetime or the car's lifetime....it's the lifetime of the radio. Mine burned out in three years, so keep that in mind.

Might also be XMs lifetime. If they go belly up in six months, you'll be out all that money.
