Yes I have the Boston sound system.I installed these TypeRs because I had them in my basement, I'm doing some sound testing.The typeRs are a bit better with the factory amp and way better with my Alpine amp. The scuff marks are on the plastic panel that covers the openings in the door.It must be from the factory rubbing them down to stick to the door
