Pics of a RS at a local Detroit area dealer.
 

saw the pics on the color post of the dark blue one and i noticed it was at a dealer about a 1/2 hour away. So i called them up and me and the ol lady went down and checked it out. I have yet to fully put in my order due to waiting to find out if i can p.e.p. it. But the salesmen there said he can transfer my order to pep at any time so next week ill be putting in my order.

this one did not have ambient lighting. but that's just some thing for ricer type folk any way. the real reason any one should want one of these is cause its the return of American muscle! :chevy:
the interior was very comfy the seats were much nicer then my cobalt SS and the fit and finish was nice. Smallest trunk opening in history!!! but i can deal with that :w00t:

I want to see this car outside in the light, most of the pictures are really dark.

It will look amazing....I just wish I already had delivery.:popcorn:

just go to the dealer & check out a new impala or malibu. they have this same IBM. it is a pretty dark blue

My first thought is to ask if the lady in the first photo comes with the car. Actually, though, there was a car just like this one at the Chevrolet exhibit at the Hampton Roads Auto Show in Virginia Beach recently. It's great to see these pictures, but I've had an Imperial Blue Metallic Camaro as my cellphone wallpaper for about a month now, at least.

Cables
 

What are these cables duct taped in the trunk lid, and will those really be there? They are ugly. They usually have some panel for the inside of the lid, so your stuff does not rub against the metal and paint inside and it hides the cables like the emergency trunk release which I believe is that yellow thing hanging in the middle.

Also the large spaces between the moldings/seals and the edge of the decklid look like they will fill with water when raining and dirt and leaves over time where those lifts are anchored at the bottom. You have to keep those little ruts cleaned out on any car or else the trunk will leak water in, but these spaces are huge.


All this for the aesthetic of a tapering greenhouse and big rear fenders/"muscular haunches" They spared no strategic expense to maintain the concept car's look.

Are there any photos of the white rally stripes on this color? I am thinking about a color change, but must see pics first.

The one to the center (actual duct tape) is a jury-rigged one to pull the emergency truck release handle when the car's battery is disconnected, like at an auto show

The black cable is production, unfortunately. I'm not a fan of it going through the opening like that, but its not that big of a deal. I'm not positive, but it likely is the electronic trunk release.

You're not kidding. She is more beautiful than the Camaro.

And white stripes are going to look amazing on Imperial Blue. That's what I'm going to go with.

It's a darker blue than I expected, almost black. It looks kind of like the "midnight blue" on the GTO. I was hoping it would be a smidge more on the "blue" side.

Damn she looks pretty! I can't wait to see one with white stripes and polished aluminum 20"s!!!

I think this color is going to be one of those that changes with the light intensity. Those motion pics were all taken on a partly cloudy/hazy day. I bet the color pops to life in the bright sunshine. It still looks good in those pics too though. :confused0068: :drool:
