RS2NV's '15 RS "Christine"

Stock LFX V6 3.6L 217 ci motor with 25k miles when purchased in Sept '18 (big plastic heat cover removed, permanently)
No leaks anywhere on the car. Spotless top to bottom. Arizona car it's whole life so no rust anywhere, not even on the exhaust.

Replaced stock air filter system with CAI

2 Attachment(s)
As most people do, first thing is allowing the car to breathe better, out with the restrictive stock air filter system, and in with a basic cold air intake off Amazon. I'll get a bigger and better one later, so i didn't want to spend a lot on this at this point. Also, heat insulation removed from "valve covers" which are actually cam covers.

The stock air intake actually flows really well on the LFX.

The first thing you should do is some type of catch-can to prevent that nasty build-up that direct injection engines suffer from :)

Also a nice tune. Really wakes the v6 up. Especially when paired with new downpipes + high-flow cats.

I'd personally save the money from an intake.

It has the NPP exhaust, so not going to change that anytime soon. I'm looking to upgrade to 80mm throttle body and having the intake manifold ported to match. After that looking to get the Overkill procharger setup which comes with a tune.

Then I would definitely not even bother with an intake. You would just uninstall that when you boost it.

Lowered with H&R sport springs

2 Attachment(s)
Lowered Christine's height with H&R Sport Springs 1.8" front and 1.7" in rear. Eibach and others didn't go low enough for what i wanted her to look like. Now that's they've settled, she looks like she should. Top of the wheel wells come to the top of the tires.

I figure after I get the TB and the ported intake manifold, i'll get a larger tube for the CAI. There will be some time before i get the procharger setup.

80mm TB, ported intake manifold and spacer, Hurst shifter handle

2 Attachment(s)
Finally added some performance goodies under the hood. Overkill's 80mm throttle body was added to the Aor Flow Solutions' ported intake manifold that sits atop the MACE Engineering 25mm (1") intake manifold insulator (spacer). Add in some Accel ignition Super Coils to help with spark and the fun begins.

Results: I dyno'd while still in learning mode but wheel hp jumped from 289 last year to 324. Throttle response though is dramatically improved. It takes very little pedal to speed up or even from a stop. My NPP exhaust opens at 3k rpm but now i rarely get to 3k. I'm looking forward to the next track day so i can see what my ET is at now.

As you can see, i'm still working on polishing the cast aluminum DOHC covers and water pump. It's definitely a work in progress.

Hurst shifter handle isn't for performance, but thought it would be really cool to have inside.

Added hood vents from '68-'69 Camaro

2 Attachment(s)
Deleted the 'CAMARO' letters from the fenders, then drilled and installed 'rally-sport' emblem from '68 RS. (yes, i know it's crooked)

Also from '68-'69 is the big block 'ice cube tray' hood vents. However, unlike the earlier Camaros, these are actually functional. Living in the desert, i needed some kind of way for the heat to escape from the engine compartment. These definitely fit my retro look. (You can see the strut tower brace through the screen!)

next upgrade will be...

Next, I'll be getting a tune from Overkill. Then i'll take it to the drag strip and see how it does with all the upgrades.
