Headers/Intake/Catback

Looking for some suggestions on a new exhaust system. Im looking to get an intake, new headers, and a catback exhaust. Looking for what some people have done to there cars and the HP/TQ gains they have received before i purchase a system (w or w/out tune but please state). I'm not to knowledgeable regarding this and would appreciate the help. I've been researching but there are a lot of different options so was looking for some personal testimonials. I'm in a 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS(MT).

well there are a few good options you can go with. most people here are making 415-425 WHP with a LS3 engine. with headers, intake, cat back, tune. you will want a tune !!!! you can get good deals on the forums.

headers; kooks, ARH, stainless works, LG
cat back; corsa, bolra, maganflow. thats what i like

intake:

good luck

if you are looking for HP skip the catback. It's for noise only. Think of all you will save and no drone.

That pretty well sums it up. We offer several intake/cat back packages that we can add headers to. I have to say my favorite is the Stainless Works headers with the S-Tube cat back. Sounds like WAR! :headbang:

Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

you can get a cat back with no drone. my corsa has no drone and i think sounds better then stock mufflers. and its much louder

Just did an install on a customers L99 SS, SLP long tubes, High flow cats, 3" cat back with X pipe and SLP powerflow mufflers. Also installed Air Raid CAI. VERY VERY NICE SYSTEM sounds and runs incredible. Customer did not believe it was same car!!!!

My question is what type of headers to get - Shorty or Long Tube?

I see a good amount of people with Long Tube headers on this site but why did they go that route? I thought shorty would be better since airflow would be better (is that right?)

Here is a good article from our blog, TheHorsepowerJunkies.com, all about choosing the right set of headers. Shorty headers are better than the stock manifolds but long tubes are where it is at if you are looking to make power.

You can obtain best torque and Horsepower and still use the stock exhaust which sounds great once you add Long Tube Headers and High flow cats to it, and NO DRONE.

I offer my JRE 415 RWHP package that gets you all the power and sound for the least amount of dollars.

Ted.

Checkout the Texas Speed complete exhaust system. It is complete from headers to tips including magnaflow 3" mufflers for less than a lot of the companies sell just headers & x pipe. I put that & a TSP cold air induction on tons of cars with nothing but great results!
