Just buy a cat-back, there are several aggressive systems available....I like my Stainless Works Retro-Chambered System. I have heard the Borla Atak system has a very aggressive sound too.

LONG TUBES!!!!!!!!!!!

You get performance gains and it sounds wicked! You'll have to retune, but if you have a handheld tuner you're good to go.

I put Doug Thorley long tubes and removed my cats and I get compliments all the time on my cars sound.

So, wait a minute, you had your car tuned, but didn't even have an aftermarket exhaust on it? Did you have some other mods that required the tune, or did you just do it because....?

you cant just remove the cats. there are endless choices, but they are all expensive

Go with long tubes. They will make any exhaust sound better. Listen to a bunch of setups to decide what you want in sound. No sense in getting something you don't like and paying for the same thing twice.

Long tubes will give you the best "bang for the buck", but to make it sound good, you need an axle back muffler system too. When I had LTs hiflo cats and stock mufflers, it sounded raspy and not something anyone liked. I added SLP axlebacks and my car sounds like I wanted it, deep and with a little pop to it on deceleration.

There is a sticky thread, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289
Has all the exhausts , pick the systems you like the most.

I'll disagree on the axelback part. I've had my Long Tubes on for nearly a year with the stock cat backs. Only difference between you and I may be that I have no cats and a tune. But it still sounded mean without a tune.
