Mine had two cracked screw bosses. My dealer tried to epoxy it last fall, but it has come loose over time. I am headed back there in a few weeks to try again.

One broke on my driver side and was rattling, I cured it with very high strength 3m double sided tape, it's been over a year and a half and still rattle free

That panel is all one piece when replaced by the dealer. My handle got a little loose and they had to replace the entire panel as no parts could be ordered for the panel. So basically, if you can't come up with a fix, they will have to replace the whole thing. The top does NOT have to be removed though. Good luck.

Yup mine broken too!
I think you have to do something with the top to access the screws that hold the panel on if I am not mistaken?
Mine is broke as well and I want to do it myself but it appears the top needs to come back enough to access the fasteners. |

I was just at the dealer today, and it looks like they will replace my top under warranty (if they decide it was a wear issue) so I plan on getting this panel replaced too. -Geoff |

I could pry my trim piece down some from the driver seat, and then inserted something similar to this and haven't had an issue since and it has been like 1 or 2 years

That's some seriously sticky 3M tape!!! Terrific stuff!

Just had mine break for the third time, warranty ended in april. Last replacement lasted just anout a year.. Not happy, opened a case with GM Customer service. I suggest everyone with this issue do the same.

Mine has been bugging me for a while. Finally took it out today to try and fix it, three of the four bosses were broken. Hope this fix lasts. Luckily the replacement part is only $35. Took all about 5 minutes to remove. It's not hard at all. Just a bunch of torx 25 bolts.
They break because it's a shitty design. |
