Interested Z/28 Owners this threads for you!

If there are going to alot of new potential owners, ask your questions here.

Can the car be daily driven?
- yes, many owners have driven their cars daily after putting street friendly tires on their car. This great improves the ride quality on the street and stops tramlining.

I heard it doesn't have A/C?
- most of them were ordered with A/C, very few are optionless. Check the production number thread at the top of the forum.

What kind of gas milage?
5-20+ depending on your smile per mile meter.

What is the up keep cost, like brakes and oil?
Oil is about $150ish for the DIY types, that's the 11 quarts and a GM filter, plus lift time if you don't have one.

Brakes are roughly $450 per set of front or back pads. Rotors are $1500ish each. If you street drive, the rotors should last the life of the car. Track driving, all depends on how aggressive you are.

Transmission and rear end fluid is less than $75 to change at the prescribed intervals.

Tires, tires, tires.
-expect to pay around $2000 for a good set of street tires that you can still have fun on the track with. More for dedicated track tire sets.

Common problems?
The CCBs squeal under light breaking and town driving.
Seat belt holder strap stitching issues.
Suede steering wheels and shifter knobs become smooth after about 15K miles.
Wheel arch body work can come detached over time. Zero available from GM.
The side quarters get beat by rocks because the front wheels are very wide.
The front splitter easily finds curbs and parking blocks.
