This is also why it did work over 1200 rpm. With the increased rpm of the pump pulley, the thinner fluid would still function.

This is a common problem on early Miatas when running gymkanas. All the turning heats the fluid and the power steering goes out for a second. Not a big deal at all.

OP... the car is fine, you dont need to tell them jack. Return the car and walk away. I cant believe all the holier then thou comments in here.
