Hi Sean. I understand your point of view, but there is a reason this is happening.
Dealer buy cars @ auction for two reasons.
1. If they have no allocation.
2. It's a hot car that
will sell.
Don't blame the dealer in that instance. The dealer isn't making all that much profit if they are buying a Camaro @ auction, and selling it for as much as $2,500 over the original MSRP.
If the dealer buys the car at auction, they are not paying the original invoice amount they would normally pay to GM. They buy @ a little over MSRP. In those cases they HAVE TO mark the car to make any money at all, yes?
Blame the dealer that has an available Camaro that they paid invoice for from the factory, and
STILL want $2,500 over MSRP.
