If its a factory option, and its within the same price range (which the TTV6 wouldn't be) then its fair. If GM choose to add an optional drag package that didn't go out of a comparable price bracket then it would be fair to compare the two regardless of its effect on performance.
Stop thinking about it as if your an enthusiast and think about it like your a consumer. Do you think that an average buyer is going to neglect to compare the track pack GT to the top of the line SS of the same price, just because GM doesn't offer a package that compares?

Of course if I was going to buy a 2010 GT I would get the track pack, but since I can buy it that makes it fair? I would assume thinking like an enthusiast would be better in comparing two car's performance than an average consumer. What I'm mostly trying to say is, if the V6 Mustang can have a performance package that borrows parts from the GT and GT500, wouldn't it be fair for the V6 Camaro to borrow parts in a performance package from a SS and Z/28?
