1. Tail Lamp - QC issue or bad from the supplier, tighten or replace
2. Emblems - debadge the car/remove them - cheesy anyway.
3. Speaker issue - it happens and is frustrating, tighten or replace
4. HVAC - known TSB
5. Tires - sounds like they were not seated on the bead or have improperly installed valve stems. Remount.
6. Steering wheel - Realign
7. Paint - perception issue see already posted thread. Depending on severity, work with customer.
8. Body coming off - I dont understand this? Are you referring to the rocker panel? If so just reseat.
9. Trunk rattle - known TSB.
10. Car rental - customer sat issue
So when I break these down like this you dont have a lemon. You basically have a dealership that has shitty service and are not listening to you when you bring it in. I believe THAT is where your problems lie - the dealership and not the car. Would I be pissed off and frustrated absolutely.
My other comment is to whoever said the comment about first year cars not having issues, seriously come on!!!! Just the nature of the game
Op I wish you luck and hope you find a better dealer.
Cheers

Touche.
However, GM will do nothing about those issues if it isn't allowed, at the dealership level, to be escalated, which I think is a crock of s***. The whole idea with GM reorganizing and having government backing was supposed to weed out crappy dealerships that shouldn't be allowed to sell GM vehicles and you'd THINK, that after all the dealerships that were closed down and/or converted to Used Car dealerships, that they would be more humble and change their attitude about customer service. Like I said before, the business success formula/model works like this in sales and service:
Positive Model - 10 Satisfied Customers = +1 Positive Referral
Negative Model - 1 Dissatisfied Customer = 10 Potential Customers Lost
If these dealerships are not making concessions and not offering help in any way, that dealership needs to be closed.
No more shady nonsense and back-room deals. No more pushing dealership responsibility onto customers, especially after the car is sold. I can tell you fron personal experience that Toyota customer service and support is not handled like this, but I just hate their cars. I had to prove to my wife that she was making a bad choice in getting a RAV4 and to wait and test drive an Equinox which she loves (gotta wait for the lease on her Camry to expire). Support what you sell and STFU with the excuses. I can still taste my Cobalt's Front 2 Pirelli tires that burned out after only 8K and D&C did nothing to help me. Glad that place was shut down for good. But I digress....
