How can you say it is not an issue with the car. In my previous three vehicles, all GM products that were 3 years old or less, this problem only occured once or twice when it was a pump malfunction. With my Camaro it happens on a regular basis at several gas stations. Ironically the Pontiac G8 which was also enginered by Holden in Australia has the same problem.
Apparently the design of the fill hole on the car is not compatible with all of the various pumps out there.
