I agree with you....I had the chance to buy a 2.5" Magnaflow street series and turned it down for the same reason. That's why I went down the 2.5" Magnaflow Comp Series system. I made my own from the factory system and the Magnaflow parts but it's basically the same as their Comp Series w/o mufflers.

I wouldn't really want to cut up a full system either...however you're just talking about the mufflers. The rest of the system would be the same mandrel bent setup and you should be able to re-use the tips.

It was just a thought. You could pick up some of those Magnaflow mufflers for around $150. Then probably pay $80-$100 to have a mufflershop weld them in. It would still be a complete Magnaflow, mandrel bent, cat-back system. Maybe $250 to upgrade to different mufflers. How much are you going to have to spend on the other setup you want to do minus what you think you sell your current system for?

Just call Magnaflowplus and see what they say/recommend. That much doesn't cost you anything.
