2.5 Magnaflow Axle back for sale.

I have the axle back section of the full 2.5 catback exhaust for sale. I'm asking $340 compared to $900. The exhaust is approximately 5 months old and in excellent condition. Stand by for picks. I also have the X-Pipe resonator for $50....

Right now I'm running straight pipes but the sound sucks and I lost torque. Next week I am going to run 3" from the axle back with Flowmaster Super 40's and Bolsa 5" tips. Should sound good. The Magnaflow was too quiet for me but the wife loved it.

Thats kind of where I am, the Street sounds good, but its just a LITTLE too quiet for me, Im worried if I run straight pipes like the COMP version has, I wont like it

What is it that makes the sound "suck"

Thanks for the feedback by the way

It is too raspy and poppy associated with a noticeable loss of torque. I figure the 3" pipe and big Flowmasters will deepen it up. I know it won't be stainless anymore but the alluminized stuff last along time.

Maybe it would be cheaper to have the mufflers changed out on your Magnaflow system. Magnaflow has some 4" round ones that are supposed to be louder.

Give www.MagnaflowPlus.com a call. See what they would suggest. They have the best prices on Magnaflow stuff anyway. Remind them you are from Camaro5.

Good point, I'll give them a buzz..I hate to cut into the nice mandrel bent system if I can sell it. I've always been a huge Flowmaster fan but I sort of rushed into the Magnaflow because of the sweet deal. Don't get me wrong, it is very nice. I'm just looking for allot more throaty growl.

I agree with you....I had the chance to buy a 2.5" Magnaflow street series and turned it down for the same reason. That's why I went down the 2.5" Magnaflow Comp Series system. I made my own from the factory system and the Magnaflow parts but it's basically the same as their Comp Series w/o mufflers.

I wouldn't really want to cut up a full system either...however you're just talking about the mufflers. The rest of the system would be the same mandrel bent setup and you should be able to re-use the tips.

It was just a thought. You could pick up some of those Magnaflow mufflers for around $150. Then probably pay $80-$100 to have a mufflershop weld them in. It would still be a complete Magnaflow, mandrel bent, cat-back system. Maybe $250 to upgrade to different mufflers. How much are you going to have to spend on the other setup you want to do minus what you think you sell your current system for?

Just call Magnaflowplus and see what they say/recommend. That much doesn't cost you anything.
