Another vote for Bug & Tar remover. I also tried rubbing compound and that didn't seem to make any difference. The Bug & Tar took a LOT of elbow grease, but it did the job. (Someone lost a 5 gallon bucket of white latex paint in rush hour traffic. I had white specks bumper to bumper.)

Also, another vote for NO brake fluid. (Doesn't it even say "do not get on paint" on the container?)
