Ah, slang. It sounds like crap untill you get used to it...
Well, apparently New Yorkers pronounce their "o"s wierd. more like a W...Can't say that I do. Of course I don't count, because depending on where I am, I pick up the accent within a day without even realizing it untill I get back home.
I recently went to a college event, and was talking to this girl from Maine, or somewhere up there. During our conversation, she randomly spouted: "Your from around the Buffalo area aren't you?" I asked how she new, and she said I have a very strong "Buffalonian" accent...:eek:
