You'll really only need 7 quarts. Be careful when you take the drain plug out on the V6, it's on the side of the oil pan and the oil shoots out pretty far. You'll have to adjust the drain pan accordingly or you'll make as big of a mess as I did. I love being able to change the filter from up top.
