I have to agree with others that the position Ford and its dealers took was predictable given the circumstances (it was a clutch.... on a modded car... with 10K miles).
I would expect the same from any manufacturer. Honestly, I wouldn't have even wasted my time TRYING to get warranty coverage for that...
I also think you should consider counting to 10 and chilling before trading one very nice car for another that may lead down the same path and be less satisfying to drive. Determine the best way to address your clutch issue, and move on. You'll lose lots more money trading the car.
