This was a comparison done with Road and Track: Cobalt SS v. Mazdaspeed3 v. Lancer Ralliart v Impreza WRX. First of all; the Chevy anihalated the competiton.

But onto your question...no. The Cobalt cannot hope to keep up with the Camaro SS.

---The Cobalt gets a 13.9 Quarter-mile time. Slightly quicker than what the Camaro V6 is expected to get. The Camaro SS is expected to get ~12.9-13.1 (slow guesses).

---The Cobalt returns a 5.4 sec 0-60 in this test. Again, slightly faster than the Camaro V6. The Camaro SS will be in the 4.5 second range. Not even close.
