The funny part is, they also suggested taking the battery completely out of the car until spring. GM didnt miss the target on most things on this vehicle, but im starting to think they did on this whole battery and electronics issue.

The foam under the tires is to keep the rubber off the cold concrete and also helps with reducing the "flat" spot on the tire. I just use plain packing foam from an old computer of mine. Nothing fancy. |
Yes a battery could get weak after 3 weeks. A tender will help with that. No need to remove the battery when using a battery tender.
However, it should be able to be recharged from the underhood remote terminals. Even if it is dead as a doornail. If it won't accept a charge, something is wrong.
If you need to get in the trunk with no electrical power, just jump or hook a charger to the remote underhood terminals and hit the trunk release. Or reach in behind the back seat. Either way is pretty easy.
