Only if Chevy wants them to and toes the line. Most expensive part of the ZL1 is the motor, and its paid for. Chevy can sell this car for the low 40's and still make plenty of money. don't compare part for part with the aftermarket, its a different animal. I wouldnt be surprised if the tranny is from the vette either. ALOT of these upgrades are already in the parts bin from other models.
Sure the Car is going to be hot at first. but that too will subside. they have to price it right!!

This is my line of thinking and why I would refuse to pay so much. Hell, I was kind of dissapointed in the "lack" of creature comforts in my 2SS paying $40,000. compaired to my 2 Suburbans and Tahoe.
[QUOTE=Dragoneye;2824081]Two things to keep in mind with ZL1 pricing:
1)
It's meant to compete with the GT500. Just as the SS competes with the Mustang GT, and the LT/LS Camaros compete with the V6 Mustangs.
2)
It's not intended to sell as many cars as the SS does, for instance. 5...6...MAYBE 8 thousand units a year? QUOTE]
Agree. People will buy them, how many is yet to be determined.
