I don't think any dealer can plan on getting one car per week. With over 3400 dealers, that would require 3400 cars being produced per week. So even if they worked two shifts 7 days a week (doubtful due to overtime costs) they would have to produce over 240 cars per shift. And what are they producing now....something like 6 per day? I know these figures are not accurate, but it gives you a ballpark figure. I believe it was previously posted that the current run of sold cars plus the one mandatory V6 car per dealer will be in the 14,000 range and they will not be done with that run until september. To meet that figure they would have to product 500 per week. Look at how much fun you can have with numbers!

Its a safer bet to say that most of us will spend half of the summer without our new toy until they ramp up production rates and add a second shift. Yea..I know...just more idle speculation on the fire. But we're getting bored.
