You're an expected buyer. You know what this car's about; the performance value, the style, heritage, and emotional value -- and you know that you want it, or you wouldn't be here....
Given that, wouldn't it be more stupid to *not* have at least one DRIVEABLE car on dealer's lots for everyone else? Think about it -- "Hi, you want a Camaro? Well, we have 11+ thousand enthusiast cars all piled up in the cue, so you'll have to wait about a month to even test drive one...oh, you won't buy a car you can't drive...:(...."
I'm not ordering right now...so maybe I'm just not feeling the mounting frustration and anxiety like you are...but I see this decision as a smart one, with unfortunate side-effects...
