You guys do realize that this is the 4th gen section and that he's asking about LT's for an LS1 right?
to the OP, Check out Hooker Super Comp LT's. they have a slip-fit joint on the #1 primary that eliminates the need to have to disconnect the steering rod to slip it between the primary tubes.
Also, if you are planning on installing LT's, get a new set of polyurethane engine mounts and change those out while the exhaust is off the car. it will help realign the engine in the engine bay and raise it a hair or two which will allow for easier installation of the new headers.
