It says in the instructions that if they aren't perfectly flush, you could get the air dam effect, which could result in 5-10 HP
loss. Even if the hose is on tight, it doesn't mean that the two tubes are perfectly flush.
Another thing that is interesting is, when Roln was doing the intake testing, he said VR was making extremely small (on the order of a mm) changes to the intake. Supposedly, these minute changes made a big diff. in performance. Now, all kind of people on here are modifying the intake, and I'm sure some of you have changed the length of the horn by more than a mm. If these tiny changes made such a big diff. during R&D, aren't you guys worried they're going to make a diff. now??
