Because of it being unleveled, when I put the cover on and install the intake, the left side buts up against the airscoop and wont allow me to get the intakve and tb to sit flush period. Therefore ive been driving this car with a 3-5mm gap between the right side of the TB and the intake itself this whole time.

Not impressed, hopefully Vararam can fix this issue asap
I have a similar issue with the intake mating up with the TB. I talked to tech support Saturday and they are sending me a different under body that's a little shorter. Here's their number if you don't have it already, 713-899-6456. I hope this helps you out.

Not true at all, several people have it as I do, installed working great. Mine is working great and it move a little but still quite enough room to breathe. Some people I beleive want perfection, but pefection is not needed with the incljusion of the rubber hose. I mean really there is no air escaping at all, but some want it perfect.

not being able to install isn't what i would call wanting perfection, rather, wanting it to fit. lol

Hey guys, so i recieved my intake friday last week and i had big problems to start cause first off i started the install after work at 930pm and it was pitch dark outside.... i installed it and basically I think I installed my brackets wrong cause the little like plastic piece on the back I fed it through the hole on the air scoop... I think that's wrong but it doesn't fit any other way... The throttle body and intake horn Aren't perfect but I got some buddies to pull the rad and I slid the intake in , it kinda worked but it was extremely hard to fit it in then tightened the hose clamps, after that I let it idle for 25min and took it for a little rip! Sounds Awwwesome! but i was worried, And I can't really fit a key fob in, it moves off the left bracket and up ontop it closing more gap, kinda a pain in the ass but when I push it down over it I get some more clearance....

Yesterday i took another crack at it , i took the whole assembly out and started from scratch, i said for sure those stupid tabs on the back need to go , didnt see it in the instructions so i didnt cut them, i did it this time and tried , worked like a charm!! I then tightened them up pretty well (brackets) those bolts should come with small washers cause you kinda screw up the bracket if you tighten them too much. i dropped the horn in and noticed the bracket on the left was smacking against the bottom of the filter area on the horn, so i took it back out and shaved a decent amount out, basically if you look sideways at it its flush at with the rubber hole for the radiator nub. that worked great and its finally sliding in with no effort... but now its not lining up!!!

So now I am getting fed up but i don't like to quit, so i said screw it and i took a file to the top part of the intake connection horn to the throttle body.... i filed some check, filed some.. checked and so on and so forth... it worked!!!! so i tightened everything up and it worked great no problems otherwise and now i have more than a Keyfob of space and it doesn't move after a good power run!!!!

Sorry for the long post but i thought it would help out a few people if there willing to do what i did.... ill get picks when i can!

In my case, I just want to make sure this thing is performing to its potential, and if I have to do some backwoods hillbilly stuff to get it to always perform that way I will.

I'm not saying thats right, but I'll deal with it for now.

Overall I still very much like my intake (it fit very well for me) but it just wants to move on me. I want to find a good remedy for that.

Last thing I want is it to keep moving and over time be choking for air and lessen my car's performance.

I mean does mine line up perfectly with the TB? No, Does the rubber hose compensate for that? Yes, So while they may not be exactly line up, with the hose and clamps I'm not losing any air flow.

It says in the instructions that if they aren't perfectly flush, you could get the air dam effect, which could result in 5-10 HP loss. Even if the hose is on tight, it doesn't mean that the two tubes are perfectly flush.

Another thing that is interesting is, when Roln was doing the intake testing, he said VR was making extremely small (on the order of a mm) changes to the intake. Supposedly, these minute changes made a big diff. in performance. Now, all kind of people on here are modifying the intake, and I'm sure some of you have changed the length of the horn by more than a mm. If these tiny changes made such a big diff. during R&D, aren't you guys worried they're going to make a diff. now??
