I gotcha. Well...to their credit -- that
is why they're churning out only those V6s right off the bat. They want every dealer in the nation to have at least ONE for people to touch and drive and see.

Plus...you've got to factor in the some 14+ thousand preorders that are bottle-necking the cars from getting to dealers...in some ways, what you describe above is our fault.:( 14,000....that's almost 20% of how many they wanted to build.
I guess my point is - they're trying. The time it took to develop will ensure quality, which will pay off in the long run. Which is really what's important. Sure...they're going to loose a few early orderes...but it's being produced for more than one year, right?
EDIT: I don't think the Challenger wasn't much different, really. They made 6000 SRT8s the first model year, and they were all consumed by preorders. Dealers didn't get their hands on any 'till late 2008.
