I'm kinda' liking the exhaust trim for some reason. Usually, I'd probably not because there isn't much more bright trim on the car, but I'm kinda' wondering if it's more for function than appearance. Being right above the tips, if that diffuser is functional, as we've been hearing and reading, perhaps they act as heat shields to keep from warping or damaging the diffuser... I don't know for certain though. I know I remember reading there were people with problems early on with SS exhaust diffusers and heat issues - I don't recall the extent though...
Also - it almost looks like they're smoothing out the texture for the splitter, rocker moldings and diffuser. Before, they looked more matte and had a coarser texture and now, especially in these newer images, it seems they've made them a little finer and added a small amount of gloss. I know I wasn't a fan of the texture and matte before and am REALLY liking these newer versions (if they indeed are...).
I now KNOW that I am going with those wheels. I am officially sold. The finer spokes just seems to enhance the deep-dish-style of the offset more and they look so much more aggressive to me. OH MAN!!!

Looking back - the exhaust trim is on the car at the Chicago auto show but it is black. I agree that it is a functional part of some sort.
I think it would be great if the black on the hood, stripe, wheels, and bodywork was all the same sheen. That would really tie everything together IMO.
