I was thinking the same thing on the interior. If ther are testing the handling, wouldn't the roll bar have a major effect?

After getting a fresh look this morning, I am VERY happy with these colors. I wish there was a better view of the IBM, but the CGM was just fantastic. I've always been a fan, but just a blue-person. If the replacement is any richer, I might have to switch!

I'm kinda' liking the exhaust trim for some reason. Usually, I'd probably not because there isn't much more bright trim on the car, but I'm kinda' wondering if it's more for function than appearance. Being right above the tips, if that diffuser is functional, as we've been hearing and reading, perhaps they act as heat shields to keep from warping or damaging the diffuser... I don't know for certain though. I know I remember reading there were people with problems early on with SS exhaust diffusers and heat issues - I don't recall the extent though...

Also - it almost looks like they're smoothing out the texture for the splitter, rocker moldings and diffuser. Before, they looked more matte and had a coarser texture and now, especially in these newer images, it seems they've made them a little finer and added a small amount of gloss. I know I wasn't a fan of the texture and matte before and am REALLY liking these newer versions (if they indeed are...).

I now KNOW that I am going with those wheels. I am officially sold. The finer spokes just seems to enhance the deep-dish-style of the offset more and they look so much more aggressive to me. OH MAN!!!

This is what IBM looks like when it passes you on the highway. Camera phone pic out my side window about a month ago on I75.

As I'm sure you recall, GM "only" lowered ZL1 by 7mm (there are 25.4mm per inch), so it wasn't by much. I feel like it looks lower than that, but I keep falling back on it being an illusion from the wider wheels and tires that are nearly flush with the outside of the fenders and quarters now. I think it could stand to lose a whole inch, but I'd rather not worry about driveways/sidewalks and speedbumps. Anyhoo - it's not like we don't have Sponsors who'll be able to take care of that

They have been saying those parts, hood, fascia, etc are not interchangeable
with SS or pretty much any other models...
I could find the exact quote if needed. But the question has been answered.

Most body parts come in primer. It would be a nightmare to stock everything in every color.

I don't think there is anything they can do to make this car look any more badass. The stance, amazing. The front end, menacing. Rims and tires, fit perfectly. This is looking more and more attractive every time I see it. I love my SS, but this is getting hard to overlook.

Looking back - the exhaust trim is on the car at the Chicago auto show but it is black. I agree that it is a functional part of some sort.

I think it would be great if the black on the hood, stripe, wheels, and bodywork was all the same sheen. That would really tie everything together IMO.
