It's all about the dealer. My dealer was great. I purchased when they were first coming out and it was a great experience. Best part was THE CALL.
When it's finally here. Got to see it fresh off the truck. They took excellent care of me, but I knew that at the start. If a dealer sucks I would never buy from them. You know what you'll end up having to deal with in the future should you have any problems.
I will say presentation is everything and looks can be deceiving. If you're a young guy and dressed like a thug chances are slim anyone would let you drive an expensive car. Especially if you roll up in a POS. It always helps to dress nice and at least have a friend drive you up in a nice looking car. Not that it SHOULD matter, but it DOES.
As for how long orders take. My brother ordered a new 2012 Mustang GT and they said about 8-10 weeks. His production date is scheduled for the week of Oct 10th. Can't wait to go "play" with him.
