I never understood fan-boyisms between Ford and Chevy. Maybe way back when it meant something, but now, in this day and age, with what these companies are going through, and how they're almost dependent on each others reputation ("American Car-Makers") to survive, I just don't get it.
I mean c'mon, I understand the Camaro's interior has a more playful and adolescent essence that could make some of the Muscle-Car purists happy, but the Mustangs is leaps and bounds ahead of it in terms of refinement and maturity.... Again, I know some of you don't want that, but
many people do, even in performance and/or Pony Cars.
I used to be a big Mustang guy, but am in no way going to say the Mustang is superior to the 'Maro right now, except interior-wise. Screw "brand loyalty".
IMO GM did a masterful job on the exterior, just the right heritage cues, but more modern than anything else....The inside looks way too much like a plastic-ized 70's old-schooler IMO, just way too retro-gimmicky.
We will REALLY know the publics feelings when Sales numbers start coming through though, and I will say if the Mustang does outsell it, interior or not, I'd be pretty damned surprised.
