I'm 29 with one accident (rolled my Chevy Colorado on its side while 4-wheeling...that was cheap...not), no tickets....high limits liability and uninsured motorist, PIP, comp/collision w/ $500 deductible and it's something like $400 every 6 months to insure, so $800/year. We've got two other vehicles on the policy, but even back when I was living alone and only had one car (a 2000 Z28), I never paid more than $1000/year with similar coverages. I've got an umbrella policy on top of my regular insurance now because lord knows if all 426 horses unexpectedly escape, the farm is gonna have a problem...and that's only $200/year.
Do you want the number for my State Farm agent to see if he can do you up for a reasonable quote? lol

Nah, I've checked. In fact, I had my Impala up until 2 months ago and sold it thinking my rates would go down. I lost my multi-car discount at that time.
The 100 deductible and close to max coverage across the board is what runs it up so much. I don't have a car payment, so it's not a huge deal. Sure, I'd like to spend less, but I also want to keep the high coverage I have. I also do a fair amount of city driving, and have put on about 20k miles a year. Thus, higher rate.
