But remember, the ZL1 is posting sub 12 second runs BONE stock and it has only been out a month. In addition, it is an all out track warrior and will be a much more comfortable DD. With PTM, magneto suspension and all the track coolers, the ZL1 is a much better all around GT car. Yes the GT500 will probably be a little faster in the 1/4, but the few 1/10's seconds faster is not worth giving up the looks, comfort, all around performance, and engineering marvel of the ZL1.

The only sub 12 second quarter mile times that have been done by the ZL1 are from GM. They also show a 1.6x 60 foot time which clearly indicates that they used DR's... not even a stock Z06 has posted a better 60 foot time weighing 1000 lbs less and having wider tires...
