Thanks again you guys...
Had to get new tags for the car since it has been so long and I don't think they believe it existed. Took my two kids with me. Drove in the rain (no wipers - NRE forgot to put them back on - Thank God for Rain X), then hit McDonalds for their lunch treat. They argue over who sits in the BACK seat because whoever is there gets to strap in and hold on to the rollcage like a roller coaster ride at Universal Studios...
Of course the car makes all kinds of noises that I had to explain:
1) Turn key 'on' listen to A1000 pump prime and boost compressor fill
2) Wait a few seconds and start it
3) Wait 30 seconds to a minute to get out of open loop mode
4) Check DataLogger gauges, trans computer gauge and A/F gauge.
5) Put car in gear
6) Listen to intercooler pump kick on
7) Listen to cam smooth out as rpm approaches converter stall
8) Listen to the Eliminator pump prime the C-16 fuel anytime the TPS goes past about 40%
9) Push pedal just a little farther
10) Listen to turbos spool
11) Feel a little rush, smile
12) Let off and listen to dual blow off valves purge
13) Listen to turbos spool down
14) Check gauges
15) Hear engine fans kick on if temp climbs over 190
16) Hear transmission cooler fans kick on if tranny temp climbs over 185
17) Pull into parking lot
18) Turn off key
19) Listen to turbos spool down for 30 seconds
20) Get out and listen to the kids blab about the experience for the next 15 minutes. Priceless...
P.S. Yeah, you caught us. The rear tires have a little more wear on them than they did this morning.
