the HPFP works on a piston/plunger principle and increasing the lift of the camshaft lobe will allow for higher fuel volume or pulse pressures that will in turn increase the DI (direct injection) efficiency
should help the FI guys from running out of fuel with an over drive crank pulley, should help the NA crowd by increasing MPG from the higher pressure DI shots, and more importantly should be a far lower cost option than swapping out the HPFP to a higher flow unit and does not need any further R&D, well, from comp cams maybe
