glide...if you haven't seen it already. the GM 3.91 gears from the 1LE should be available soon and can be had for under $300 + $150 for the rebuild kit. not sure if you'd need to swap the whole pumpkin or if you can just change the ring & pinion. just an FYI

see if you can get MACE to increase the lift on the camshaft lobe that actuates the HPFP (high pressure fuel pump)

the HPFP works on a piston/plunger principle and increasing the lift of the camshaft lobe will allow for higher fuel volume or pulse pressures that will in turn increase the DI (direct injection) efficiency

should help the FI guys from running out of fuel with an over drive crank pulley, should help the NA crowd by increasing MPG from the higher pressure DI shots, and more importantly should be a far lower cost option than swapping out the HPFP to a higher flow unit and does not need any further R&D, well, from comp cams maybe

similar to this: http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...ge-1-Cams.aspx

under the "additional information" tab and this:http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-...e-hpfp-284190/

same priciple but on the SIDI V6 instead of the ecotec 4 cylinder platform

Very nice! Can't wait to start seeing some results! 3.91 is nice. If you can get them for the price hapi mentioned than that would be no brainer. I paid almost triple with install for LPE 3.91 which is the same company that make factory gears for our camaro and LPE.

Its worth it, I have it and saw a noticeable difference with the new IM. My dyno sheet proves it.

Upgraded chains are needed if yor car is buIlt prior to late 2010 - which mine is - 9/2010. Fluids are needed when the timIng cover is removed.

GPCS - interesting post. Welcome to the forum. I want to say I thought I read the TT / SC guys were getting a lean condition at higher boost due to the injectors over running the allotted window when "open" causing not enought fuel to be delivered. Wonder if this over run was caused by a lack of fuel pressure and the injector staying open trying to deliver the required amount of fuel? GoIng to dig my FI books out and check the service manual.

Excellent post!
