GM has a history of very conservative tunes. I've owned and modified a 94z28, 99z28, 05GTO, and a 06 GTO. Each of these cars benifited greatly from a tune.
The L99 A6 will really benifit from a tune because the shift points, shift firmness, and torque managment can be adjusted. That along with the extra HP and Torque can equal several tenth in a 1/4 mile.
