are we comfortable with acknowledging from a performance stand point that the gt500 is capable of 12.5 comfortably sometimes a little lower with the experience of the driver and weather, i kno this video doesn't show an accurate depiction of a gt500 1/4 being 12.8 or whatever it was. if we can agree upon that then we should also agree that the camaro ss as of right now is sitting at 12.9
i think the hennessey camaro is a close estimate as to what a $50k z28 would be able to accomplish from the factory, dont remember the exact numbers but i think it had an 11.6ish quarter. since we have no z28 yet, the hennessey was able to show us what a FI camaro could do with those power levels, having GM make a camaro like this for $50k with a warranty and the components to handle massive power later...that's food for thought i won't mind enjoying

Well for one the Hennessey Camaro is $59,000 for the base price, and it still don't have forged internals.
Also their 11.6 run was done on drag radials, and if you saw the video there was VHT all the way down the track.
Take the Hennessey Camaro and have them run on street tires comparable to the GT500's and I guarantee it will be a mid 12. sec. car also.
