Lol. Lemme go quote this..

The standard version of what?

HP Tuners VCM Suite. Pro is $649, Standard is $499.

doesn't have the analog inputs, what's that mean/matter?

You have to use a handheld with all of these tuning softwares. The HP Tuners Standard doesn't accept the analog inputs necessary to feed it a wideband O2 signal for tuning purposes.

, so we use a known pid(pid?)

PID is just an acronym for process ID. It's just something that the ECM is doing. In this case, we're taking over an A/C signal to the computer.

and switch our sensor in. (what does it sense?)

Precise AFR so we know what is going on instead of relying on MAF or stock narrowband O2 sensors.

Then you have to tell vcm suite (hotel room? vcm?)
what to do with the signal. What do you do with the signal?
Apply a different formula (how?)

VCM suite can read existing signals over OBDII. That means you don't need an analog input on the handheld to hook your wideband O2 into. You splice a 3 position switch (on/off/on) into an existing ECM signal wire and switch in the wideband when you want to tune on the car.

to the now switched in wideband (the afr wideband sensor?)
and voila... You don't need analog inputs on your handheld. (<- huh?)

So you tell VCM Suite (the tuning software) that you want it to use a different equation on that PID. That's how you fudge in a wideband with the cheaper standard version.

Here is a good explanation.
