This isn't your typical nav system, but it's still a nav system, right? I don't think GM ever said that they'd be putting little navigation-devoted screens in the center of all their vehicles...
btw, where's this "commitment"; if possible, I'd like to read it.
The way I see it, it's like tap-shift. Same idea, lots of different ways to put it in vehicles.
