You seem to be overlooking the main fact that
no matter what engine GM shoves into this baby - it MUST be priced somewhere near the Mustang.(i.e. within 1k-1.5k) Otherwise it will not appeal, and it will die right out of the gate. It's supposed to be an affordable car. What you describe is far from affordable, imo...
