Hi everyone, first post here but have been reading for a while. I'm in a similar situation...I want one now but I'm working on two car payments so that isn't going to happen. Luckily, my car will be paid off soonish, and my wife's maybe a year after that, but I'm probably looking at at least two years before they payments are done
After years of driving underpowered 4-cylinder cars though, I'll appreciate it all the more!
I'll probably be hanging onto my Scion, returning it mostly to stock, and delegating it to beater/winter car status once I get my Camaro. I want my next car to be something that I can keep until it is a classic...my dad is in a Chevelle club (he has a built '71 SS...the thing is a beast,) and there are several guys there that are the original owners of their cars. I want to be one of those guys eventually.
