Nobody has a clue about the Mustang either. But many believe comparing GT to GT with same trim and whatnot, that it likely didn't lose that much weight, and possibly could have gained weight.

I have no doubt it could be faster than the old boss 302 around a track. Look at the much heavier Camaro 1LE, which also woops it at the track. The new suspension if done right, will make it that much better at the track, but that doesn't mean the Mustang lost any weight either.

Also, that 5.0 might match HP of the LT1, but so many of you forget about the fantastic torque curve the LT1 has, which the 5.0 will definitey NOT match.

What V6 Caddy are you talking about? If your talking ATS...nobody has said that. If you are talking CTS...then yes its perfectly doable. If they use the same chasis the ATS is riding on, there is no reason to think the Camaro V6 couldn't weigh 3,400 lbs. Add 100 - 150 lbs worth of stuff to make it V8 ready (engine, brakes, driveline) and now you have a car in the 3,500 lb range...low 3,600 tops....WHICH is what the base CTS V6 weighs. (Its on the longer wheelbase version of the Alpha chasis which the ATS rides on)

So again...I see nothing wrong with saying that. You are mistaken if you think the next gen Camaro V8 couldn't end up in that weight range.
