I've been doing up to 45min stints in my C5Z for a few yrs now. Apart from one dropped valve (during regular "lapping" - got lucky tho motor was fine), the engine is superb and oiling not an issue to require a dry sump (but overfilled per instructions). My mechanic used to race various GM products in Grand Am. Still holds a record for wins. Knows a thing or two
Some guys do go with accusumps, tho. My question relates specifically to cooling in a FI ZL1 motor, since a couple of members here hinted at heat soak issues. Thanks!
